How soakies work
The pouch impregnated with a highly-absorbent polymer and comprising dual-layer polypropylene
non-woven material not only safely segregates the primary receptacles but also cushions them
additionally within the secondary packaging thus reducing the danger of breakage to an absolute
minimum. If liquids such as blood or urine leak, they are swiftly absorbed and safely bound to an
SAP gel which in turn ensures permanent transport safety.

With pouch variants offering 1 to 12 compartments, standard absorption capacity of e.g. 25 ml per
compartment and optional extra features for special applications, soakies represent a versatile and
inexpensive solution – for use in both doctors’ surgeries and in hospitals. As bed sheets in the requisite
size, Aquipads can absorb up to 6 litres of liquid. Our products can be easily adapted to customer
requirements (e.g. in terms of size, colour, material combinations or absorption capacity).

How soakies work
Blood, urine and other watery
non-corrosiveliquids are swiftly
absorbed by the ultra-absorbent
polymer.
This immediately triggers
a crystallisation process
which binds the liquids as
a solid SAP gel.
Liquids remain permanently
stored in the nonwoven
material – the secondary
packaging is not
contaminated.
